Lovin' It

I am loving the upcoming 3 day weekend!  This week has been ridiculously long and hellacious.  If it could go wrong, it went wrong at work this week.  BUT it will be a FUN three day weekend.  I can't wait!

I am loving fireworks, ooooh aaaaaah!  Specifically, artillery shells.  If there is one thing my Dad always did BIG, it was fireworks on the 4th of July and this is one tradition I plan on continuing.  Cigar and all!

I am loving the colors: RED, WHITE, & BLUE!

Andrew and I will be making these this weekend!

I am loving the Rockies vs Braves!  Our tickets to the MLB game at Coors Field finally got here, this was part of Drew's Father's Day surprise.  Andrew is pretty excited about it and so are we!

I am loving this man!  He'll kill me for putting up this picture.  He is one good lookin' hunk of burnin' burning love!  He works hard, works-out hard, plays hard, and loves his family even more!  He makes my heart skip a beat and my soul complete.  Love ya babe! ;)

Monsters' Inc.

Today Aubrey and Andrew made some of the cutest Monster Puppets, I just had to share!

Like what you see?
This is the Made by Me Junior kit I got for Andrew, hope your kids enjoy it as  much as Aubrey did...I mean Andrew! ;)

While we played Monster Mash, the Chef of the house took to cooking dinner, Pepper Chicken Nachos.  I found this recipe in my July edition of Southern Living.  This dish is so bright, so summer-y, and so yummy!

Of course he added a few of his own ingredients, like the homemade salsa he made yesterday!
He could definitely jar it and sale it!

Picture of Random or Random Pictures

  •  A few random pics to get your morning started off right!
Andrew made a "crab" card for Brady because "Brady is probably going to miss me this weekend while I'm gone."

He has read it out loud over and over again because he thinks the "have a crabby day" part is absolutely hilarious and he loves cracking himself up which cracks us up!  He's so hilarious!
The stuff he says amazes us, Drew is constantly saying "Where does he get this stuff?!"

Andrew has also made about 50 paper airplanes since he's been home...

"This is Dad flying our plane, that's you and me looking out the window at the clouds."

Aunt Erin, my Bud, and Mimi after the "How I Became a Pirate" play! Arrrr matey!

  • Junk Food!  Man it is so hard to have an adult diet with a 6 year old little boy in the house!
 Abita Root Beer Floats

 Cupcakes 'n Cream cupcakes!

One of the guys I work with sent this to Andrew.  My office has tons of pictures of us and with all of the stories I tell they feel like they know my little boy. :)  Thanks Mr. Al!
"That's the biggest Hershey's I've ever seen in my whole, whole life!"

Drew and I sure are going to miss our little man this weekend.  His mom & stepdad are coming into town for a visit.  I don't know what we're going to do without our Ben 10 running around.  Since Monday, Andrew started telling us, "I'm going to miss you in 4 days."  "I'm going to miss you the day after tomorrow."  He's so sweet and I know he's excited to see his other set of parents after being away for a month.  Goodbyes are hard for both sides and I'm glad that we only have to say goodbye today for 2 days.  The next goodbye won't be nearly as easy for us.  (Bleck!  I don't even want to think about it!)

Hope you all have a great Thursday!

Supper Club: Luau!

Aloha Kakou!
June's supper club was hosted by Keith and Julie Pease.  Their back yard is a little "pease" of heaven!  The Luau theme was perfect!  The food was, as always, amazing, the fellowship was wonderful, as usual, and the memories made were once again abundant!  I hope you and your stomachs enjoy!

Drew, Denny, and Matt decided to roast a pig Cushion de Lait style in a Cajun microwave.  I was a little skeptical at first but man it turned out delicious!

They brined the pig the night before.

Seasoned it with some Caribbean seasonings.

And started it smoking about 5 hours before our Luau.

Wilber all nice and toasty!  The aroma was amazing!

Pulling the pork off the bone.

Some of the best pork I've ever had!

 Luau time!
