Showering Baby Day!

I was abosolutely overwhelmed by the love and support from our family and friends last weekend!  My sisters, sister-in-laws, and friends hosted an absolutely incredible shower for Baby Day and I.  Our growing family is blessed beyond measure!

Snails and Puppy Dog Tail cookies (that look remarkablly like Jaxy Boy!) made by the fabulously talented Aunt Erin!

The food table was incredible!

Diaper cake also made by Aunt Erin!

Thanks to whoever took this picture! :)

Aunt Nikki's goodie basket for Baby Day, so cute!

The grand finale belonged to Maw T and Paw Paw Larry!  Our son's rocking horse is absolutely amazing and unique.  I know he will have many adventures riding his handsome steed. :)

I love my Dad!

I can't thank everyone enough for a day that was truly perfect!  As the mother-to-be it was so comforting to know that so many loving and caring people are there for us, praying, loving, and hoping for the best for our little boy!

Building Progress Report

Our house is moving right along.  My husband is putting in 12-16 hour days but all of his hard work is really paying off!  These pictures are actually from this past weekend.  Since then the exterior hardiplank has gone up, windows have been installed, and our cypress porch roof is almost finished!  At each new step in the building process I fall more in love with our new home!  I can't wait to raise our sons here.

Not only does my husband build amazing homes, he is also really great at designing them.  Below are the autocad drawings he has created for various rooms and cabinetry layouts.  I'm a visual person so these definitely help me in envisioning his ideas.

Great room entertainment area and fireplace.

Entry ways into library and formal dining room.  Each of these entry ways will have a cypress beam at the top secured by long bolts to add to the industrial look we're going for.  We got this idea from one of our favorite restaurants, Chimes East.

Our 9ft by 4ft door.

This was our inspiration for our door...and yes it will be orange! :)

 Roof plan.

I am so excited about our porch roof it turned out beautifully!

These are some of the tiles I am loving for the bathrooms and backsplash in the kitchen.
