The Story

So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to
It's true, I was made for you." -B.Carlile

I put these lyrics on our wedding website and tonight the song was on Grey's Anatomy.  I love it so much it's so how I feel, it's so many love stories that last, it's second chances,
it's so us.

The Story
All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to
It's true...I was made for you

I climbed across the mountain tops
Swam all across the ocean blue
I crossed all the lines and I broke all the rules
And baby I broke them all for you
Oh because even when I was flat broke
You made me feel like a million bucks
You do and I was made for you

You see the smile that's on my mouth
It's hiding the words that don't come out
And all of my friends who think that I'm blessed
They don't know my head is a mess
No, they don't know who I really am
And they don't know what I've been through like you do
And I was made for you...

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
Oh but these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to
It's true...I was made for you
Oh yeah and its true, that I was made for you

Until Next Time

We're making the trek to take Andrew back tomorrow and while we're none too happy about it, we're all three pretty excited to fly together tomorrow!  What normally takes us an 8 hour round trip drive (Yuck!) will only take us 3 hours round trip by plane.  I'm pretty proud of Drew, he would do just about anything to make Andrew's trips easier on him, including learning to fly his own plane!  That means more time with Andrew at home on days he has to go back and less time on the roads for all of us.  Plus it's just pretty awesome being able to roll up to the airport whenever we want and hop on our plane...Rockstar status?  Pretty much as close as we're going to get unless Drew's voice changes and he becomes a real rockstar. ;)  (He's actually dreamed this before, I woke him up shortly after he said, "I can't find my guitar and I gotta get on stage!" Hi-la-ri-ous!)

Just before bed last night Andrew only once said my ear is hurting, when we picked him up he had a stuffy nose but it had pretty much cleared up until Thursday it started back up again.  Since we're flying tomorrow I told Drew we had better have his doc check it out just in case.  After I got off work we headed to the doctor's office...to wait for over an hour, he was booked solid but squeezed us in after I explained my concern.  Sure enough and ear infection, but no problem to fly at the altitude Drew flys at...whew!  Thank goodness, we all were going to be pretty bummed out if we would have had to drive tomorrow.

We have truly had a blast this homecoming.  We fished, played Ben 10, celebrated St. Patty's Day, planted our garden, played Ben 10, went on a picnic, danced in the rain, played Ben 10, hung out with friends, and spent lots of time just being us together.  And even though tomorrow will be a sad day for Drew & I, we are already looking forward to seeing our little boy for Easter and we can't wait for Summer to be here.  Two whole, uninterrupted months with our main man!  I see swamp tours, zoo trips, camp, visiting Maw T & Paw Paw Larry, lots of fishing, lots of swimming, July 4th fireworks, going to the movies, beach trips, slumber parties, and much needed family time.

Come on June you can't get here too soon!

Terrific Thursday

Today was a great day.  Work went well, then I came home to the laundry completely done, the dishwasher unloaded, dinner half prepared (not that I ever cook it anyway, but I normally at least prep), and my stakes for my tomato plants built.  My boys were very busy!  I'm so thankful for them!

The Ice Cream Man

As Andrew was taking a bath this afternoon, before dinner with friends, we heard that sound.  That sound that as children we could hear blocks away...the sound of the ice cream man!!  I ran to the bathroom scooped our little guy up, slapped some clothes on his cute little tush and ran down the drive way.  Drew grabbed the camera and was in quick pursuit.

Waving patiently

It was a tough decision...

"Sonic!"

Love those Day-Baby Blues!

A Little Landscape

While Andrew finished devouring Sonic's head, I took a stroll around the yard and snapped a few shots.

Drew's tangelo tree

Drew's lemon tree given to him by my Mom

BFF Time

The Wacketts came over to help us finish off our fish we caught for dinner.  We love some fried fish!

Love these two sweethearts!

Then Daddy started a "little" fire for us

It’s the way you love me
It’s a feeling like this
It’s centrifugal motion
It’s perpetual bliss

It’s that pivotal moment
It’s impossible
This kiss, this kiss (Unstoppable)
This kiss, this kiss
