Merry Christmas, 2011!

We Days have pretty much been Christmasing for over a week now and I must admit I'm worn out!  We have had a wonderful Christmas season this year filled with lots of old traditions and new memories to tuck away.

Santa comes to our house!

It was our "off year" for Christmas this year with Andrew we both agree we like having him on Christmas day much better, but what parents wouldn't.  It saddens me that his believing in Santa Claus years are numbered, he's just too smart!  Trying to explain why Santa was coming to our house early was pretty tough!  (Plus Drew and I couldn't decide if we wanted to open all of our gifts early or waiting until today...we opted to only open a few from each other.)

Andrew is such a good little boy.  He minds his manners, does great in school, listens well, loves whole heartedly...it's just so hard not to go out and break the bank on him for Christmas.  Non-Christmas morning was a blast!  Andrew was so excited and so was Jax!

Merry Christmas to one very good little boy!

Christmas Brunch

After we ran through Santa's presents the Days and McCumseys came over for a brunch of breakfast pizza and monkey bread.

Carrie Addis is her adorable Christmas outfit :)

10 months and she's standing up and walking all on her own!

 SpongeBob Legos from Aunt Erin!

"You always know just what I want!"

 Cheese!

Carrie not quite sure of her baby lol!

 Marble Vortex from Mama Day
Parental warning:  It took Drew about 3 hours to put this thing together, both he and Andrew had to take a 5 min break.  But once together it's pretty stinkin' cool!

"You always give me the neatest stuff!"
Andrew has his thank you compliments down pat, he's such a sweetheart.

Dave Ramsey's Junior Bank from Poppy and Willie
This bank is so cool, it has three slots: Give, Spend, and Save.  It teaches kids how to manage their money and tithe or donate to a charity.  I can't wait to start this with Andrew.

His own karaoke machine from Poppy and Willie!
The Drews working on SpongeBob Legos

Ugly Sweater Party @ The Brunson's

Audrey and Latham hosted their first annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party this year complete with "As Seen on TV" White Elephants gifts.  It was so much fun we had a great time!

In all of our tacky glory!

 Whoa.

Me with my Fushigi ball!

The Gautreau Christmas

We headed out to New Rhodes to Layla's for the annual Gautreau Christmas party for some good food and to visit with family.

The kids put on a little skit, "10 Things Not to Do at a the Gautreau Christmas!"

Strike a pose!
"Don't get mad when Aunt Tanya poses you for pictures over and over."

 Sweet Alyssa

Drew recently redid Aunt Tanya and Uncle Larry's kitchen.

Love the copper and the backsplash!

 Cousins!

Mimi's Family :)

On Tuesday 13 people we were with on Sunday all fell ill, we're not sure from what a virus, food poisoning who knows, but thankfully Andrew and I missed out on that Christmas gift!  I ended up taking the rest of the week off to take care of my husband and keep our little boy entertained.

Christmas with Mimi

 A trick bike!

Teavana cast iron tea set from Mimi and Freddie!

Christmas with Maw T & Paw Paw Larry

 Air Swimmers Shark!

I think this is my favorite of everything Andrew got this year.  It literally swims through the air by remote control!  Andrew had a blast flying swimming "Danger" up and down from the Man Cave.

Christmas with the Aunts

 Aunt Stacie and Aunt Paula

Christmas with Brady
Andrew was a little over-dramatic when he opened a set of BeyBlades from Brady.

As you can see we were non-stop trying to fit everyone in for Christmas but it was well worth it.  We had a great time with Andrew, as usual, and we can't wait to see him in three short weeks for a long weekend!

Christmas Eve at Mama Days
Every Christmas Eve the Days gather at Mama Days house, that's Andrew's Great Grandmother.  Mama Day is one fine Southern lady, always dressed to the nines, so sweet, and oh so wise.  I love her so much!

Carrie with her LSU cheer outfit from Uncle Eddie Boo.

 Love the chaos!

Christmas on the 25th :)
My Dad made me a bird feeder out of an antique lamp globe.  He's so handy!

And this is the outdoor table my husband made me!  He's so creative.  The table top is made out of an old pine mantle that he cut in half and the legs are steel set into the table with wheels!  Love it so very much!

My sisters and I gave Mom a Kindle Fire.  She squealed with delight and hugged it like it was a person.  Drew was cracking up, I told you we're the best gift openers around!

I gave Dad a IR temperature gun and some cigars.

Drew with his pizza stone for the grill.

Drew's goodies:  running shoes, lots of shirts, wireless thermometer for his smoker, new wireless router, books, etc.  Plus he got his punching bag earlier. Such a good boy this year!

My goodies:  Clarisonic Mia (!), iPhone doc, Skullcandy headphones, apron, Toms, basket and bell for my bike, Vera Bradley, etc.

I hope and pray that you all had a wonderful and joyous Christmas as well.  I can't say enough how blessed my family has been this year.  I am looking forward to everything God has in store for us in 2012.  God bless!
