Until Next Time

We're making the trek to take Andrew back tomorrow and while we're none too happy about it, we're all three pretty excited to fly together tomorrow!  What normally takes us an 8 hour round trip drive (Yuck!) will only take us 3 hours round trip by plane.  I'm pretty proud of Drew, he would do just about anything to make Andrew's trips easier on him, including learning to fly his own plane!  That means more time with Andrew at home on days he has to go back and less time on the roads for all of us.  Plus it's just pretty awesome being able to roll up to the airport whenever we want and hop on our plane...Rockstar status?  Pretty much as close as we're going to get unless Drew's voice changes and he becomes a real rockstar. ;)  (He's actually dreamed this before, I woke him up shortly after he said, "I can't find my guitar and I gotta get on stage!" Hi-la-ri-ous!)

Just before bed last night Andrew only once said my ear is hurting, when we picked him up he had a stuffy nose but it had pretty much cleared up until Thursday it started back up again.  Since we're flying tomorrow I told Drew we had better have his doc check it out just in case.  After I got off work we headed to the doctor's office...to wait for over an hour, he was booked solid but squeezed us in after I explained my concern.  Sure enough and ear infection, but no problem to fly at the altitude Drew flys at...whew!  Thank goodness, we all were going to be pretty bummed out if we would have had to drive tomorrow.

We have truly had a blast this homecoming.  We fished, played Ben 10, celebrated St. Patty's Day, planted our garden, played Ben 10, went on a picnic, danced in the rain, played Ben 10, hung out with friends, and spent lots of time just being us together.  And even though tomorrow will be a sad day for Drew & I, we are already looking forward to seeing our little boy for Easter and we can't wait for Summer to be here.  Two whole, uninterrupted months with our main man!  I see swamp tours, zoo trips, camp, visiting Maw T & Paw Paw Larry, lots of fishing, lots of swimming, July 4th fireworks, going to the movies, beach trips, slumber parties, and much needed family time.

Come on June you can't get here too soon!
