Father's Day with the Days

 What a great day!  As in today was a great day to honor all of the Dads in my family.  I called my amazing Pops first thing this morning and wished him a Happy Father's Day.  I miss him so much, especially on days that are supposed to be spent with the most important men in your life.  He will always be the first man I ever loved. :)

What a great Day!  As in my amazing husband of a Day.  I am so proud of the Dad he is.  He has so much to offer his children!  He gives his time, love, and knowledge with all of his heart.  Did I mention how much I love him too?!  Well I do, I do!  

 We had a wonderful day celebrating the men in our family!

Hallmark doesn't have anything on this little boy!  I'm pretty sure all parents love homemade cards better than any ole card you can buy at a store.  One afternoon this week Andrew set to making Father's Day cards for some of the great men in his life.  (Thanks Aubrey for taking pics!) :)

Lovin' It

 Today my favorite things are things that light up my life and bring a smile to my face!

• This room, I really love it!  I have quite a few people/things that bring a smile to my face when I come home and one of them is my library room.  I pretty much love my husband for letting me turn the formal dining room into exactly what I wanted.  It's so me and it reflects who I am on the inside. :)

 That vase is my newest purchase from Rue La La! 

 

•  I don't know of a single person who wouldn't smile if they walked into their backyard to see this!

•  Andrew is in Daddy copy cat mode right now, last night he just HAD to have his own protein shake.  I didn't think he would like it but sure enough he drank it.  Then said, "Feel my muscles!  Are they as big as Daddy's?!"

•  Andrew's frustrated face!  This is the face he gets when he doesn't want to sound out words he doesn't recognize.  Now when I'm frustrated I can't help but picture his little face and I find myself smiling. :)

 His necklace also cracks me up!  

It's a dolphin that he and his Willie got out of a gumball machine, he hasn't taken it off since.

• And finally, our trip to Denver in July!  Thanks to Rhodia we'll be visiting another new city as a family this year!  Chicago was absolutely fabulous last year and we are definitely looking forward to taking Andrew to see some real mountains!
