A few weeks ago one of our very dear friends turn the BIG 3-0! Drew recently finished building their house which is just down the road from our new house. We can't wait to be neighbors with Matt and Brittany! For Matty's birthday his lovin' wife treated him (and us) to a professional cooking class, which we hosted at our house since their new home wasn't quite finished yet. It was a lot of fun and of course delicious! We made roasted corn, tomato and basil bruschetta, homemade ricotta stuffed ravioli (yes we even made pasta dough!), roasted asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, and finally homemade cannoli to wrap up an amazing meal! Thanks Britt for a great night!
If you're looking for a unique and fun way to spend an evening I definitely recommend Chef Josh Hebert. You can check him out at Bearfoot Culinary Services.
You'll never untangle the circumstances that brought you to this moment. -Leonard Cohen

Supper Club: Luau!
Aloha Kakou!
June's supper club was hosted by Keith and Julie Pease. Their back yard is a little "pease" of heaven! The Luau theme was perfect! The food was, as always, amazing, the fellowship was wonderful, as usual, and the memories made were once again abundant! I hope you and your stomachs enjoy!
Drew, Denny, and Matt decided to roast a pig Cushion de Lait style in a Cajun microwave. I was a little skeptical at first but man it turned out delicious!
They brined the pig the night before.
Seasoned it with some Caribbean seasonings.
And started it smoking about 5 hours before our Luau.
Wilber all nice and toasty! The aroma was amazing!
Pulling the pork off the bone.
Some of the best pork I've ever had!

With each passing month our Supper Club keeps getting better and better! May's Supper Club theme was "Breakfast for Dinner/Pajama Party" and it was hosted by the McCoy's. This was once again my favorite Supper Club yet, it was Carb-o-licious!

After breakfast, we decided to work off some calories with a friendly competitive game of Twister!
We had a great time! Definitely the most we've laughed in one night thus far. I can't wait for the Luau at the Pease's house!
