Father's Day at the Bay

We celebrated Fathers' Day this year at Poppy and Willie's fishing camp in Bay St. Louis.

For the last 3 years Andrew has painted pottery for his Dad and Poppy for Father's Day.  I'll be so sad when he's too old and too cool for painting pottery. :(

Aunt Erin of course made some of her amazing sugar cookies for the weekend!

Thanks to Aunt Erin, Andrew made his Dad, Poppy, and Uncle Brian each their own personalized cookies.
So talented!

And this cutie LOVED her some cookies!
Nom!  Nom!  Nom!

Drew, Erin, and Syd all went in to give Poppy some pantry doors for the camp.
They turned out so good and match the cabinets perfectly!

After breakfast on Sunday we went for a stroll on the beach.

Jax preferred to roll instead of stroll.

Sweet Summer Time!

Last weekend Andrew flew home commercial BY HIMSELF for the summer!  He was so proud, as were we. While we were waiting in baggage claim the man who sat next to Andrew found us and said that Andrew flew like a business class pro!  Andrew grinned from ear to ear.  We are so glad our little man is here to stay for a while, we missed him so much.  His Daddy and I just can't believe he is going to be a THIRD GRADER!  Here are a few pics of what we've been up to.

 Welcome home smiles!

We plan on spending lots of time at the pool!

 Sidewalk chalk spirographing!

Praising God for all of the daily blessings he gives us.

A little Memorial Day fishing.
Andrew and I finally got to try out the Basshound boat Paw Paw Larry and Maw T brought us for Christmas!

I am going to enjoy the heck out of it!

Um..."helping" Daddy at the new house.

And spending lots of time with family!

While we don't have a lot of "BIG" plans for the summer (well besides finishing our dream home and having a baby) sometimes having no plans are the best kind!

Rocky Mountain High

Once a year we try to make the trek to TN (20122011, 2010, 2010b, 2010c geez Andrew's grown up so fast!) since Andrew was off of school for MLK Day this year we decided to scoop him up and head to Pigeon Forge for a long weekend together.  On these trips we let Andrew decide what he wants to do, so we went to the Rocky Mountain National park to play in the snow, we went to the arcade and the country candy store, we played Wii and Clue, and of course we enjoyed every minute of our time together as a family.  I can't wait until my Bud-a-Roo is home for Spring Break!

Andrew's 8th Birthday Party

As I said in a earlier post it seems so surreal that Andrew turned 8 years old this year.  It seems more realistic that I was changing his diapers only a few months ago...but alas that is not the case and our little boy is growing up before our eyes much, much too quickly!  It's bittersweet to say the least...but we celebrated in fantastic "Here Comes the Boom" style!

We did a little pre-game boxing.

Aunt Erin of course made the cutest ninja cookies ever!

I was so proud of Andrew, he took the time to read each card outloud.

Allie girl.

Andrew was taking too long to unwrap Allie's gift to him so she decided to help out! :)

 Making wishes!

Jax found a nice cozy lap to relax on.

Our birthday boy said he had the best 8th brithday ever!
We had a great time too!
